Getting reviews for your property should be something that’s top of mind for hotel staff. Guests make decisions based on social proof, and that’s what reviews do for your property.
In the past, TripAdvisor was the go-to place to list your property details and solicit reviews from your guests. However, the internet is changing and you never know where your guests may be most likely to leave you a review. In fact, some say that Google is overtaking TripAdvisor as the place to get more reviews.
For example, if a person only leaves reviews on Google and you are asking for reviews on TripAdvisor, what will that user do? They may try to find you on Google and leave a review there, but that does require extra effort on their part. What if you could reach them and give them the option of reviewing your property wherever they would feel most comfortable?
Introducing the Review Dashboard for HelloShift! You’ll find this handy feature under Admin > Site Settings > Guest. Here’s what it looks like:

This dashboard has two primary features:
1 – This URL is the website link you can use in your outgoing Post-Stay message, the message where you ask your guests to review your property. When a user clicks on this link, they will see a list of all of the available places to review your property:

All the guest has to do at that point is click on their favorite place to leave reviews, and they’re done!
2 – The second feature of the Review Dashboard is where you add the links to your review pages. Use all of the included 5 options, or use only a few. It’s up to you!
For your convenience, we’ve added the ability to link to your TripAdvisor, Google, Facebook, Expedia, and Booking.com review pages. If you would like to add a different page that isn’t listed here, please contact us directly.
